Advancing Diversity in Clinical Trials (ADVCT)
In 2020, Advancing Diversity in Clinical Trials, LLC, (ADVCT) was established in response to NIH’s and FDA’s continual call for action to increase the number of underrepresented patients in government and pharmaceutical-sponsored clinical trials.

We are committed to closing the diversity gap in clinical trials.
Our mission is to improve health outcomes and health inequities by increasing the racial and ethnic diversity of Principal Investigators and clinical trial participants.
We recruit and train minority physicians for Principal Investigator roles who will support the enrollment of historically underrepresented patient populations resulting in improved health outcomes for women, ethnic minorities, and the elderly.
Our Goals
Recruit and train physicians for Principal Investigator roles, to conduct clinical trials to improve healthcare disparities and increase enrollment of women, ethnic minorities, and elderly representation in clinical trials.
Develop partnerships with church-based Health and Wellness Ministries to educate the community on the benefits of clinical trials.
Develop a research/health literacy program to assist patients to overcome the mistrust
and stigma of participating in Clinical Trials.
Our Objectives
-
Increase the diversity of clinical trial participants by 5% or more
-
Increase the number of Black non-Hispanic and racial/ethnic healthcare professionals trained to conduct clinical trials by 5% or more.
